Introduction

I live in Windsor, CA. In October 2017 we were affected by the wildfires, but mostly indirectly, and nowhere near to the degree that many of our friends were. I first visited Larkfield and Coffey Park several weeks after fire devastated large areas.  Initially the pain was palpable, and each visit was both extremely affecting, and felt like I was intruding. However, by December the feeling had shifted, with many of the people I met being construction workers, for whom this wasn't a tragedy so much as a work opportunity.

I included photos of the aftermath of the fire, but the real purpose of this website is to document the hopeful story of rebuilding that I saw over the following months and years. My visits were intermittent, so the building of some houses happen to be well documented, while others seem to suddenly appear - such is the nature of random sampling.

I have no desire to hold onto these photos. If you want them, please download them and enjoy them. I do ask that you respect my ownership, and please don't pass them off as your own, but otherwise, do whatever you would like with them.

If your house appears in any of these photos, contact me in case I have any more pictures, or to receive higher resolution versions of the pictures you see..
